The project
For this project I wanted to do an artistic infographic focused more on the esthetics than data. I wanted to create a landscape out of simple shapes and creating the illusion of depth by having items far away and closer to the viewer.
I also wanted to make an animated version with simple subtle animations to make the poster more interesting to look at.
My inspiration for this art style was Aron Draplin and his Thick lines style.
Sketching
I started out by sketching out a few ideas for the items i wanted to use. I also sketched a storyboard with the different phases of my animation to make it easier when animating it. I then brought my sketches into illustration and played around with different itterations of each item and picked the one i thought worked the best.
